DSL - Digital Subscriber Line

Special notes on Cavalier Hi-Speed Internet:

  • DO NOT connect the phone filter provided in your install kit to the line connected to the modem.
  • When connecting the DSL modem directly to your computer, use a crossover CAT-5 cable.
  • Use a straight through CAT-5 cable when using a hub or router (except for some Linksys routers which require a crossover cable).
  • Cavalier Telephone's DSL requires a 10BaseT or a 10/100 Ethernet card and the TCP/IP protocol.
